Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan has awarded Iranian actor Navid Mohammadzadeh.

Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan has awarded Iranian actor Navid Mohammadzadeh.

Mohammadzadeh received the award for best actor in a leading role for starring in ‘Beyond the Wall’ at the 16th edition of the event.

‘Beyond the Wall’ is a love story about how the peaceful world of a blind man named Ali is affected by the ill-timed entry of a woman to his life.

Mohammadzadeh started his acting career by appearing in Rouhollah Hejazi's 'Among the Clouds' in 2008.

The actor has received several awards and nominations, including Best actor Award at the 2015 Bratislava International Film Festival.

His performance in the movie 'Life and a Day', directed by Saeed Roustaee, won him a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a supporting role.

In 2017, he grabbed the Best Actor Award for starring in 'No Date, No Signature' directed by Vahid Jalilvand.

Established in 1998 in Kazakhstan, the Eurasia International Film Festival is the major film forum in Central Asia.

The Festival’s main goals are to support the film industry in Kazakhstan, further the appreciation of motion picture arts for people of all ages and build the platform for successful cooperation between Asia and Europe.

The 16th edition of the festival was held on December 12-18, 2022.
